Welcome to Mumma G,

Private midwifery care throughout your pregnancy, labour and birth to 7 weeks postnatally. Breastfeeding support for your entire feeding journey.

I’m an endorsed midwife in private practice and an IBCLC – International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. This means I have the privilege of providing continuity of midwifery care for women who want to employ their own midwife for pregnancy, labour, birth, and postpartum care, often with an intent to birth at home. If you choose an in-hospital birth or your journey takes you unexpectedly to a hospital setting, I’ll continue to be your support and advocate.

I am an experienced IBCLC and able to work with you before your birth and for the duration of your breastfeeding journey.

If you are drawn to a relationship of mutual trust in the care of an experienced midwife and IBCLC we may well be the perfect fit.

Hi, I’m Georgina, aka Mumma G.

Midwifery chose me and I’m so glad I didn’t resist my true calling. Women, their babies, and families have been the focus of four decades of my practice as a midwife. Midwifery is the profession of midwives and only midwives practise midwifery. It has a unique body of knowledge, skills and professional attitudes drawn from disciplines shared by other health professions such as science and sociology but practised within a professional framework of autonomy, partnership, ethics, and accountability.

I passionately support a woman’s right to bodily autonomy. My midwifery care is holistic and continuous in nature, grounded in an understanding of the social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychological, and physical experiences of women.

Where do I even begin! This beautiful knowledgeable woman has gone above and beyond for my baby girl and I. Day 5 earth side and my little girl stopped latching. Georgina was in town that day and came over and really saved us. My baby is latching again! In the evening I was having troubles again after the initial visit. Georgina came by to our house again and with a bit of tweaking and further education this mama and babe seemed to finally have the hang of the new feeding style. Mumma G is warm, calming and above all believes in YOU as a woman and a mother. There aren’t any words for how incredibly thankful I am our paths crossed 2 days prior to my baby’s birth. Thank you so much again. If you too are experiencing feeding issues with your baby, it goes without question who you need to see. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I was induced at 39+5 and at the time we did not know he was posterior. I was in active labour for 23 hrs before the OB told us I had to have an emergency cesarean. He was stressed and there was meconium in my waters. I didn’t get immediate skin to skin as he was taken away immediately because he was stressed …
